Join us for an immersive 90-minute yoga + sound healing journey targeting the seven main chakras. Our intention is to provide an experience where movement + sound come together to realign + restore your energy. Each chakra will be awakened through intentional poses accompanied by corresponding sound vibrations leaving you feeling deeply attuned from root to crown.

Giovanna Coppola, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Somatic Therapist, and 200-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher will lead you through a restorative offering of various yoga poses and movements to target each chakra. All levels of yoga practitioners, from beginner to advanced, may find comfort in this slow, restorative flow.

Jessica Decker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Sound Practitioner, and soon-to-be 200-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher will provide a range of sounds through the playing of crystal bowls, chimes, gong + drums that align and support the awakening of the seven main energy centers in the body. An extended savasana, approximately 25 minutes of sound, will offer you a deeply restorative way to close the experience.

What is a “Chakra”?

Chakras are energy centers in the body that are believed to influence our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. There are seven main chakras, each associated with different areas of the body and specific aspects of life. They’re like spinning wheels of energy that, when balanced, help maintain harmony and health.

What does yoga have to do with the chakras?

Many yoga asanas (or poses) are associated with certain energy centers in the body, and are thought to help “clear” stuck energy and/or invite you to bring awareness to a certain space in your body. You might hear of these poses typically described as something like “grounding poses”, “heart opening poses”, “hip openers” and more.

How does “Sound” interact with yoga + chakras?

Sound, such as that provided through the playing of Crystal Singing Bowls, chimes, gongs, or drums can be received physiologically on a cellular level (in addition to receiving these sounds auditorily through the ears). All sound is vibration. All beings and objects are made of matter (or energy), which vibrates at its own frequency. When we are open to receiving sound in the form of an intentional “sound bath”, our bodies are invited to respond physiologically to sound vibrations that may promote relaxation, clarity, stress reduction, emotional release + more.
