Jessica Decker, LCSW

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my goal is to provide you a safe, supportive and nonjudgmental environment in which to grow and explore as a person. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) focused in Clinical Practice with Families & Children from Monmouth University in 2017. I have worked in various settings in the mental health field including adult community mental health programs, pediatric intensive in-home therapy programs, K-12 public school systems, pediatric, neonatal & maternity hospital settings and in a group private practice. Over the last decade, I have gained experience as a Board Member & volunteer for local nonprofits including a family success center as well as Meal at Noon soup kitchen. The array of experiences I’ve gained and communities I’ve had the privilege of interacting with have contributed immeasurably to the person & therapist I am today.

In 2022, I decided to focus my energy on expanding my means to provide compassionate & creative mental health care to adolescents and adults. So, I took a leap of faith and founded my private practice, Jessica Decker, LCSW LLC.

I specialize in working with: anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, stress management, emotion regulation, life transitions & self-esteem.

My Approach

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (and fellow human), I implement a trauma-informed approach and enjoy utilizing Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Interventions, Yoga Philosophy, Sound Healing & flavors of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. At present, I am working towards my 200-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training. I have also had the privilege of completing in a 65-hour Sound Healing Practitioner Training.

I believe in the value of understanding what is happening “beneath the surface”, as well as witnessing the awe-inspiring beauty that lies in the “mystery” of our innate & unique ability to heal.

Just as we must learn the alphabet before we can write a book, it may benefit us to develop a foundational understanding of (and a relationship with) our brains & bodies if we intend to intervene and regulate how we respond to the world within & around us. I’m excited to help you do this!

We may explore things like meditation, breath-work, yoga, grounding practices, cognitive coping skills & various exercises for regulating the nervous system.

A Little Bit About Me… As a Human

When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with family & friends, cozying up with a good book & a cup of tea, hiking with my husband & our dog Kona, camping throughout the U.S., snowboarding, yoga, meditation, kayaking, bike rides, outdoor photography & just generally “being” in nature.
